This is a micrograph of normal tissue from a human pancreas that may be used as a control in research. Common sources of normal specimens include post-mortem collection and “normal adjacent tissue” (NAT) which may be may be included biopsied or surgically resected samples taken during the course of standard medical treatment for conditions such as pancreatic cancer.
